Based on the findings, the researchers are urging consumers to use caution when consuming supplements labeled as containing higenamine.

Scientists stunted the puberty of male worms by starving them before they underwent sexual maturation. The study looked specifically at radicular pain, a type of nerve pain that radiates from the spine into the legs. Sciatica is a common form of radicular pain.
